My name is Samara Welbourne and I am a 14 year old Australian teenager, living on the Sunshine Coast.  In August 2014 I am about to embark on the biggest adventure of my life.

I am moving to Bali. My mum has joined Australian Volunteers International and will be working as a volunteer Business Development Manager for Puspadi Bali (www.puspadibali.org) . I’m very proud of my mum and very excited about the new adventures I will experience in the next 2 years.

My blog will be all about living in Bali as an Aussie teen.  I hope you will come on this journey with me, starting in 10 days time when I have to decide what to pack into 1 suitcase for 2 years.  Yes, that is all I get to take with me, just the 1 bag!
In Australia I run my own business Enchanted Fairy Houses.  I make and sell fairy houses and I am also the author of the children’s craft book How To Make Fairy Houses. You can buy my book through Amazon.com and in many bookshops in Australia. 10% of the royalties from my book goes to The Children’s Hospital Foundations Australia. My business will close for the 2 years I am away but my book is still available.
This year I had the very great honour of being named as the 2014 Sunshine Coast Young Citizen of The Year, an honour I share with Bindi Irwin from Australia Zoo.
My interests are surfing, running, swimming, cooking and I am a qualified lifesaver.  I’m hoping I can do some surf patrols on the very famous Kuta beach in Bali.
